Zoom first airs on WGBH.

January 9, 1972

A nationally-televised children’s program, it is produced by Christopher Sarson. Described as “[The first television program for children and by children,” the show relies on a cast of seven pre-teen children, who devise skits, songs, dance numbers, and even their own language (Ubbi Dubbi). It continues until 1979 and resumes from 1999 to 2006.
